I applaud you for the style you chose to write this in. It's really nice and very endearing. And left me somewhat wistful. *sigh* A shinobi's life is an honor and a curse.

My vision wasn't too good when I squinted and it got worse when my sight was blurred by my tears. Great story.

it was quick, i just got teary-eyed out of nowhere. it was so...heart-wrenching. like, the silent kind of killing, quick and painless until you're at the end; and then it's like running into a wall only all the pain is in your chest. sharp. squeezing.

it was just...wow, i'm not making any sense whatsoever! ahh, a usual for me. but really, i wish i could describe it. it was really amazing too! (sigh) came from my blindside, darn you.

I was a little confused the first time I read this. How could Ino be both married that day and a wido at the same time before it dawned on me that she got married on a mission, which was to kill that same person. Yikes, that takes special kinds of dedication to marry the target one is supposed to later assassinate! Interesting peek into the darker side of being shinobi- it's not always cool tricks and awesome powers.

Aww man, my hear is breaking for these kids. Beautifully written story.

I really like this part:

Totally something a kid would hear and repeat but not have any clue of the meaning :)

I love the ChouIno and the moments they had when they were children. It brings a smile to my face when I read little Team 10.

About the mission, did Ino have to marry someone important and then kill him later? Is this what she meant by "I guess that makes me a widow, doesn't it?"

I admit it- I squinted. I also aw'd.

Anyway, this was a lovely read. The mechanics were clean and everything flowed into everything else. The style is simple, but not simplistic. I like it.

As to content, wow. I had to laugh at the opening paragraph, and some of the description of their make believe. Granted it's a bit hard to imagine Shikamaru bothering, but then I wouldn't leave poor Chouji alone with Ino under those conditions either. I love the end; it fits perfectly.
