I liked this a lot. You're an excellent writer, and your interpretation of the Vortex and their queen's thoughts fit perfectly within the Ecco Universe.

That was an amazing oneshot. It really helped to fill in the gap of what happened after Ecco: Tides of Time.

Grammarwise, as far as I saw, the whole thing was perfect. If there was a mistake, I didn't notice it at all.

Spellingwise, it was flawless as well; or any mistakes you made were too subtle to notice.

I enjoyed the concept of the story. It was cool the way you captured these hypothetical events of what happened to the Vortex in the past. I also liked the analogies you made, such as "like a baby dolphin first noticing its beak for the first time."

All-in-all, this was an outstanding document. I consider it one of the best I've ever read.

Good story with the idea of how the Vortex think and act.

The idea of the monitors turned out to be surprisingly good.

But Drones are normally genderless, so I wonder how they COULD have become part of the echo system without their queen.

I'm confused a bit on how the Monitors assimated into Earth thou. Did they mutate into other animals already around or what?

This was a very interesting story. I loved the glimpses into the mind of the Vortex Queen.
