I like the pacing of this fic... You don't have Lady swooning at Vergil's feet (as what tends to happen in V/L fics). You keep the characters very in-character, so good work with that!

Ok... So I really like how you keep the characters so in-character, and can manage to give a lot of background (mainly on Mary/Lady) at the same time. I like seeing a whole new take on the events played-out in the Temen-ni-Gru, instead of re-writing the same events portrayed in the game over and over again, which is what the majority of the other fics on this site do. It's like, "Ok I don't want to re-read the cutscenes from the game!" And unless it's a very good fic, this is how I normally feel about fics. Well, good work!

The backstory you have developing for Mary/Lady here is amazing! It makes me (for the first time ever) actually sympethize with what she is trying to do in the game.

Hehe, no worries about being caught short of inspiration, it happens :D, and tis the time of year with tests and such across the board.

Anyway, the chapter was in no way lacking, so your break hasn't rusted your skills 8). There were some minute errors, an in instead of an on somewhere, to do with the mural I think. But these were tiny and it flowed with that distinct style of yours. I really enjoyed the surreal scenes, the visions or dreams or whatever they'd be called, especially Vergil and Lady's trip to future-Hell, and look forwards to more .

This is possibly the best V/L fic I've ever read. You are made of the superior awesome.

Oh, that was a nice one, I said it before and I'll say it again, you write a good Vergil :D. One major mistake though:

"Looking into his face, Mary searched for a reaction. A frown was starting to spread across his face as he took in the new information. She knew it sounded stupid, she thought it sounded stupid but there had to be some sort of significance to it."

You have that paragraph, slightly different, twice, about a third of the way down. That aside though, I actually liked the choppy style of the fight, it was original, nice stuff .

Sorry about being late getting round to these latest two chapters, university's eating up my time, how dare it, hehe XD. Anyway, there was some fantastic imagery here, the mural, painting world, and once-pretty hallway, all given a quality balance of description, that was a definitely highlight to this story 8). Another plus was Dante and Lady's interaction, the two really showed solid character, remaining themselves and yet fresh. Vergil was another cool one, the elder son of Sparda having no one else to interact with, but still managing to radiate personality. Your two original characters had a brief appearence but even that was decent, so all in all, coolness .

XD yesh don not worry about pleasing everyone: The important thing is that you are writing neh? Thats what I was told :3 This story really is action scenes are perfect with out going overboard. XD Some fan fictions over do the action and some over do humour this one, however, is well done.:3

You can never turn people off with symbolism. The bible and Quran, and all biblical sources have rich symbolism. They have a million and more, billions of people who love symbolism.

People who can't understand it are usually too stupid.
