I love this story, but I wish Jayne was a little nicer to River.

This story is so beautiful! Love both the rayne and the background stories. I really like the section with Jayne's family especially.

Great story. I like River's POV for story telling. Even though years have past for your story, I know by now that you must have some great ideas on how to finish up your story. There must be a small legion of readers wishing this as well.

Love this story! All the characters are so real, and it's nice to see a 'fic from River's point of view (more or less) and that deals more with the people-reading side of her than the fortune-teller side of her.

There is more, right? The author's note at the beginning says that there will be 12 parts... but I just wanted to double check. Closure is something I rarely get here in the world of fanfic...

This was all so wonderful. It's so easy to just focus on one side of a character; their dominant trait as it were. But you flesh them out, breathe life into them. I loved every minute of this and am kind of sad that it's over. And not even getting to meet the little Rayneling either. :(

I love River's eccentric comments and Jayne's dirty mind and how so often they play so well off of each other. This comment here: "Out in the bosom of nature," Jayne agreed, his hand dancing over her chest. "Oh look… bosom." - omg, I DIED laughing. So perfectly Jayne.

That was amazing, you wrote everyone perfectly in character. I especially liked the backstory on Jayne and his feelings for River. River/Jayne is my favorite ship after Wash and Joe and you write them beautifully. Plus, the part where Zoe was watching the 3D feed of Wash with her son was heartbreaking. And when he recognized his daddy and she started crying? Aw... I hope after you take some time on your Doctor Who story, you'll come back and try to update this one. Please? I need more of this awesomeness. ;) Seriously though, great work.

Okay. So this story is unbelievable. It is so well written and emotionally stirring and it's been almost a year with no updates. Now I understand that the muse can sometimes leave us but I sincerly think you need to find it again to finish this.

All I am asking is for you to reread this story, realize how amazing it is, perhaps read some Rayne stories to become inspired and then try to pick up the pen again.

Plus I adore Daddy!Jayne and Rayne.

What a wonderful story! My favorite chapter so far has to be the gang at Jayne's home. I like how you portrayed Ma and Pa Cobb and I think in a fairly realistic way too considering Jayne's own demeanor, etc. Can't wait to read more!
