i was cracking up so hard when i started to read this.

these stories are so horribly cliche and you're right, no one ever includes peter. they kind of just pretend he died.

the secret trading thing is in like EVERY fic, its absolutely hilarious.

you forgot the whole "truce" thing though, its honestly included in EVERY FREAKING lily/james fic. and also the whole secret snogging buddies where they meet in broom closets in the middle of the night or in between classes and sneak into each others' dorms.

because hey i guess james is so magical that he can actually get into the girls' dorms.

and the whole james has a girlfriend but now i'm in love with him, what am i going to do? i've read like fifty of those in the past three days.

i love this though, its absolutely hilarious!

It was funny, and you captured all the Lily x James story stereotypes perfectly, though I gotta admit the Marauder!Yule Ball one is a guilty little pleasure of mine. :3

There's no critique whatsoever that I could offer; this is a very well-written fic, and it's obvious you took your time writing it (nice little word count there) and that you put effort into it. It's always nice to stumble across fics like this.

I GET SO FRUSTRATED WHEN PEOPLE WRITE ABOUT THE FASHION! (a.k.a Americans.)Why is that U.K authors don't write about fashion, Australian authors don't write about fashion...Do I care if Lily is wearing a green (always green) dress that perfectly accentuates her eyes? No - I want a GOOD plot, a GOOD character setting et cetera.

Also: Lily can't just fall in love with James. It consists of emotional change in both of them. If it was based on lust it would be very superficial.

THANK GOD! First things first, this was so so necessary that it's actually a little frightening. The number of truly terrifying Lily and James fanfictions is just plain scary. Also, I'd like to thank you for helping me. I've been trying to write a Lily and James fanfiction (with no avail) and although I still don't have much of an idea, I have a way better idea of what NOT to do. Some of these plots are so over-used.

Also, thanks for pointing out the differences in British and American language. From spelling to just the words, people need to know. My dad's British, so I'm familiar with both, and nothing makes me cringe more than someone using firmly American lingo in a story taking place in England. Just horrible.
