| Mendai Decovrii chapter 1 . 7/1/2014 This is probably my favorite to date stanford era fic. It just seems so right to me. Dean's not drooping over in depression, but you know he's upset. And John's sort of there for him, but not really. And Sam's Sammy. He misses Dean, but he's not coming back. And the ache was so palpable, it was really fantastic. Nice work. |

John's reaction at the end was sweet, if slightly misguided, but I'm glad he didn't up Dean about his phone call. It's nice to see a gentle John every now and again! But unfortunately I'm obviously one of your dumber readers because I'm not sure I understood what you mean here: Dean pulled the covers up to his neck, silently wondered when his father would finally figure out the same damn thing he was waiting for Sam to discover. When he did, when he finally understood, Dean wondered if he’d lie to him, too. Is Dean thinking about having lied to Sam by telling him it'd be ok if he stayed at college? Because he wanted to do what was best fo Sam, even if he really wanted him to return? But whatis he waiting for, that Sam and is father should realize? Sorry for having to ask things that probably should be obvious...*sigh* But I still loved the story! |
