Niiiice. I always liked Aurora/Briar and now I like her even more. This is really good!

I like this fic. I REALLY like it because you present an excellent point, Aurora or Briar or whatever, never really DID much in the movie, and I was always more interested in Maleficent, she had a cool design, she was powerful, she had a fantastic voice and well, she's just as good in Kingdom Hearts if not better. Also loved the cameos by Scar and Shere Kahn, always loved those two, especially Scar, only villain who won for more than maybe a few days, guy won for years. And Shere Kahn's voice is amazing. I kinda want more of this to see where it goes, what Briar does, does she become a villain? Does she become a neutral party? What does she do?

I really enjoyed this story.

Well, that was ... clever? Clever doesn't quite describe it correctly. Spot on characterisation, anyway. There's a whole lotta disfunctionality waiting after the end of Sleeping Beauty, if you aply even the tiniest bit of logic.
Good work. Or bad work, if you want to look at it in a rather 2D POV. :)

What a fun fun read! I can actually see this as a canon extension of Briar, and I really love those final lines, especially "I think you rather would if you could"...loved the observation by Briar there, and this is a very Maleficent voice, very elegant. Thank you for writing!

That was very interesting. I really liked how you had Maleficcent and Briar interact.

A friend of a friend of mine sent me this on Facebook, claiming I would at least find it amusing. Since the last thing he suggested to me wasn't... that amusing, I was a bit tentative when I started reading.

Imagine my surprise when I thoroughly enjoyed it. The concept is fun and something I can imagine even after the story - all the possibilities that go with it. (I love one-shots for that. Who needs to a giant, complicated world when you can just pose an idea for the reader to inadvertently make one for themselves?)

I can only imagine what you could have done with this after the more modernized princess appeared - Giselle, Tiana, Rapunzel... They would have been a fun mix in this world.

That being said - I would give you a review with constructive criticism, but

1) since you wrote this in 2006, I don't think you're going to change it either way, and

2) I like it the way it is. Very much.

Anyway, thanks for writing this and sharing it. I really REALLY enjoyed it. :D
