Oh, intrigue! Loved the start, you really write Jack so well. I love the interaction between Jack and the Turners too- even little things like-

“Frankly, William, I know you’re a man of great adventure.”

“Not entirely. I‘m a blacksmith.”

“… Well, don’t you travel?”

“No.”

-Are just the way I imagine them; Jack going on and on and Will just not playing, haha. And Jack pretending he didn't know he'd left his hat; all great.

Use of the word 'dumb' by Will... I'm sorry, I'm so bloody critical. I just pick up on stuff like that. He'd probably say 'I'm not a fool' or something- which would draw a nice parallel between that and the first movie, when Jack says something like 'well, it's a good thing I'm not a fool then, isn't it?'. ...Or maybe I'm getting carried away now, haha.

I know you said the ending was crap, but I rather liked it; I can picture Jack leaning in to say it, knowing it would catch Will's attention...

Eesh, I get reet carried away writing reviews, haha. You seem to have loads; maybe I should consider actually writing up my idea for a Pirates fanfic (you're honoured, as I've stepped away from my usual Harry Potter fandom specially for this fic. Oh, and all that).

E, s'taken me ages to get to read this, haha. Enjoyed this chapter- you're right, I much prefer having the detail there; I'm the sort of person that likes to really visualise things in my head, so it's nice to have some proper description.

One mistake- towards the bottom, you said 'Johnny' instead of 'Jack' (gasps in horror). But that's it :]
