Good story

I admit, that was pretty good. Stayed up late just to read the whole thing but I think it was worth it.

I really like the story so far. Good plot idea, I virtually see no errors, and I'm simply enjoying the fact that John is playing 'dad' for his dad considering the circumstances. It's a good way for them to bond, build the friendship and loyalty they need.

this is still one of the best stories (not only terminator stories, mind!) out there. such good characterization and story-telling. ive just re-watched T1 last night and it is totally believable to see your growing up kyle reese in the desperated yet determined man fighting the terminator in the movie. i also watched t4 recently, and while it had many issues (christian bales john connor/meddling, for example), i felt anton yelchin made a very good young kyle. when i imagine his face and movements while reading your story, it just works.

i especially like how well you write the guarded emotions of the main character(s) and the complicated relationship between kyle and john. the reader totally gets how deep the emotions run here, but also how little the characters can afford (or are able to) express them. your writing is very precise, moving, and never sappy. big hand, once again.

can i say wow? okay, looks like this story is finished - even if i wished it would go on. this must be one of the best, if not the best, terminator stories ive read so far, and ive read a lot. thanks for writing this, it was simply great, and very moving. i wish there was more...

wow. what a dream... i fear kyle wont wake up to something even remotely as nice as this...

and btw, getting worried here: only what, two chapters left? and updates from 2008? dang, dont tell me you didnt finish this...

anothe cool chapter. ‘yeah, but no TV for a week’ was a welcome little touch of humour. so many good things in thsi - kyles ruse, perrys reaction, the rumour (john should have seen this coming, actually)...

wow, really liked that. its a great john connor you give us here! its also great to read that unity and goodwill arent exactly a given among the survivors - which is perfectly realistic, i feel.

you didnt like this chapter? i sure did. i felt the description of the kids team was really well-done - their salvage mission, kyle keeping the anthill for wolfy, the bickering of the other two over that warped fairy tale. its all so imaginative and original, not like many fics here who just recite scraps from the movies and expand them a bit.

another great chapter. the insertion of the treasure island quotes were a clever touch. loved the scene with the dogs. you manage to give us moving detail without making it too emotional.

this continues great. you have just the right touch of drama here without making it too much. its a gritty, hard reality alright. wonderful characterization on young kyle reese here.

This was a really good fanfiction - one of my favourites. Well written and interesting. I think I'll have to check out your other stories!
