Guest chapter 1 . 10/7/2014 Whoa... |
Punzie the Platypus chapter 1 . 9/1/2014 I loved it! Your wording is excellent, the way you described the characters and their emotions and their looks and motions moved the story along in a good way. You've done well with the characterization of Gilbert, rationalizing his poor behavior towards Anne. A winner! God bless you! |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/3/2014 Anne is eleven in the book and Gilbert is about 2 or 3 years older. |
Anne-Marie chapter 1 . 3/20/2013 Their ages are different in the books than the movie. They aged them up a bit in the movie. He is almost 14 at the start of the books while she is 11. I think they aged them up about 2 years in the books. Anyway, cute idea. I might suggest italicising the parts of the story that are set in the future, so the jump in narrative isn't so jarring. I always like seeing what people say abt Gilbert, I like your idea of him easily reflecting what others want to see, that seems like a trait that suits him well. |
yfit chapter 1 . 6/14/2011 Haha that was fabulous! please continue writing there aren't enough (and never will be P) stories about Gil and Anne. Oh! By the way, I loved the add of Gil holding his wife's hand! Very clever! and very, very cute! 3 |
Eastonia chapter 1 . 2/18/2011 Don't worry, in the book there only a 2 year difference so just continue straight on ahead with him being 14 |
Keahi Spitfire chapter 1 . 8/30/2007 That may have been the case in the movie, but in the book, Gil was 13 and Anne was 11. The movie just made the gap greater. I love your story by the way, it was so cute! |
Gladiel chapter 1 . 4/9/2007 This was a wonderfully written point of view of Gilbert during that day he teased Anne. ) Keep it up! |
Vicky chapter 1 . 2/19/2007 I thought this was really lovely. I think you had just enough of an arrogant tinge for Gil, without it being too much. Speaking as someone who lives on PEI, and is therefore automatically a near-expert on all things Anne (it's even my middle name...with an "E", thank you), it's nice to see these characters inspiring people from all over. A random note: the soundtrack for the (relatively) new musical "Anne and Gilbert", which will be playing for it's third season in Summerside, PEI in a few months, won an East Coast Music Award last night. It's really a beautiful play for anyone who is planning a trip out this way - it's a must. Also: it's Moody Spurgeon McPherson...like the fish. |
Triste1 chapter 1 . 1/28/2007 A very lovely take on Gilbert's point of view. I have to say, I enjoyed it very much. It was pleasantly entertaining and still very sweet. To think that Gilbert could have been thinking such thoughts at the time simply tickles me silly. A well written fic as well, with only one or two mistakes about the place (...AN un heard of, five times...). Keep writing! |
greenmaiden chapter 1 . 9/29/2006 that was so amazing! you should write something else! mabe...anne's point of view years later or...hmm...i dunno but the story should go on! it is too good to end there! |
Darth Psyke chapter 1 . 8/15/2006 That was absolutely adorable! I love how you portrayed Gilbert; it was perfect! |
EmmettPrefersBlondes chapter 1 . 8/7/2006 yah do an anne prov! and keep on going with the story in either gilbert's prov or anne's prov. it was really, really good! you got major talent! |
superaccountant chapter 1 . 7/31/2006 oh how lovely! I SO MUCH love your Ann of Green Gables stories! and I think it's really well-written, also HOW COME I NEVER HEARED OF THE MOVIE? can you, please give me more informations about the movie? I've read the novel and there was NO race, also it was told that gilbert is two years older than them (diana's words) that's if I'm not mistaken. bye! |
ladybell chapter 1 . 6/30/2006 I love it! :D It's very cute, and I think you've got Gilbert's POV down pretty well. The style is very nice, especially the repetition with "snubbed." Great job! |
