| Lady Silvamord chapter 4 . 7/9/2006 Oh oh ooh, Faleron! E! It's adorable that he keeps a journal-diary of sorts. The first-person narrative was interesting, too. The bit about how he's been to war and all that, and then him being intimidated by his little spit of a cousin who just happens to be Empress made me giggle. :) I feel sorry for him, and I liked the bit you put in about Roald and Kally's relationship, in their journal. It must be a huge strain for him, keeping something that big hidden away from everyone, especially when that "everyone" includes the lady in question's elder brother, who happens to be a friend of his. I guess I just love the way you've characterized him and his thoughts on his and Kally's relationship after it's ended. I'm starting to want to hear more from Kally in Carthak, now, although I'm also curious about what the letter from the palace is about. Eagerly awaiting the next update! *grin* |

As weird as it is for cousins to be together (are they cousins in the books?), I love how you paired Kalasin and Faleron. I alwasy really liked him in the books, but he wasn't really talked about much. I can't wait to read the rest! |

| Strapless chapter 2 . 6/27/2006 This is a wonderful exploration of the relationship between Kalasin and Roald. You've really tapped into Roald's character. For all his lack of screentime in the books, your portrayal of him is very believeable and in character. The line in which Kally reflects that Roald succeeds in everything struck me as very much a trait of his. And OMG, you got Kalasin/Faleron in there. (Whee!) It's interesting to see how time and distance and Things Not Said are straining Kally's relationships-and even perhaps her one with Kaddar? Now that we've had Roald's point of view are we going to see Faleron's? |
