Am I reading too much into this or did he think the butterfly had called his name? Also, I read somewhere that Kondou was captured on that visit to Edo. In all of the examples Souji remembers he is seeing the death of his loved ones. Could he have seen the butterfly because of Kondou's impending death and just assumed it was for himself? Did Kondou see the butterfly at the end for Souji? Or did they each see it as an omen for themselves? So many questions, such a wonderful piece of work. Thank you!
