peppercorn chapter 1 . 9/16/2007 aw ( some bittersweet mentions there heheh |
skele-gro chapter 1 . 11/24/2006 The essence is good, but the titles are a bit out-of-place. |
heka chapter 1 . 11/23/2006 well done. loved every sentence of it. keeps their relationship so well together. which makes them such an attractive couple after all. ah hahahahaha. wonderful. keep writing! and here's some cookies for the lovely author! |
FuumaKamui chapter 1 . 11/6/2006 ooh, this is so good! the fourth sentence felt so hopeless, so true of his situation, so sad. the sixth, tenth and forty-first sentence explains the depth of protectiveness Ban has for her in just a few words, so powerful. the twelfth sentence is so strong, shows explicitly Ban's pride at being a brother for her. the thirty-seventh sentecnce is just so sad, and made all the more heartwenching with the comparison and the fact that it is all true. this is just so so so good! thank you! thank you so much for writing this! |
MARIAN-COOL chapter 1 . 10/5/2006 I like it! m i like the numbers :02 cool,04 last ,10 learn,11 blur,12 wait,15 hold,16 need,17 vision,18 attention,23 child,24 now,32 eye,36 stop,37 time ,48 precious ,50 believe |
NightsTenor chapter 1 . 6/12/2006 wow!...i really cant think of anything else to say. poignant? intense? passionate maybe? or all of them. its like you have dissected their emotions(is that even possible?) and then put it all back together. if there's one thing about Ban and Himiko, its that where one ends, the other begins! its like their emotions are same and then not. maybe its the way they portray them, or maybe the beauty lies in how you write. then again, its just awesome...i look forward to your next story! |
Outsane chapter 1 . 6/2/2006 Oh, these were very good. I especially liked 15 and 18, because I think they held a lot of emotion. Nice job! |
Atropos' Knife chapter 1 . 6/2/2006 These sentences are so well-written and are an accurate psychological study of Ban and Himiko's complex relationship. IIRC, I think some of the lines already appeared in some of your other fics, but it's nice to see them again here. I do notice that most of the sentences reflect Himiko's characterization before, during, or just after the Platinum Melon arc. Which is just as well, since her attitude towards Ban from IL and beyond curiously does an almost 180 degree turn that isn't at all explained very well in the anime. (The manga-only Cards Arc handles Himiko's change of heart better, though not by much) Anyway, I guess my favorites would have to be 8 and 10 (because the secrets Ban knows about Himiko and their entwined fate will devastate her in more ways than one), followed by 12, 24, and 29. Great job as usual. I honestly think everyone SHOULD first refer to this collection as a character guide before attempting to write a Ban and Himiko fic (as gen or pairing) in the future. Cheers! |
silverstrings chapter 1 . 6/2/2006 I like the gen (or unrequited) Ban and Himiko fics (or sentences, in this case), even though I dislike them greatly as a pairing. :D Number 8, "Thousand" is probably one of my faves, poor Ban. 21 - Fool was also very good. 32 made me cringe but in a good way. XD Few typos I thought I'd point out, though I think a few of them are just fanfiction-net screwing with your formatting: "Sometimes-when sheí's(she's) not careful-Himiko remembers what is(it) felt like to be young and happy when she's around Ban." "They've both changed-seen and done too much-and it shouldnít(shouldn't) be so easy to fall back into old habits." "Ban isn't good at saying goodbye; none of this(his) relationships end on such a positive note." "I'm sorry, Ban says, but Himiko doesn't care-I donít(don't) believe you, she says." Really liked these. Good job! :D |
Rabid Lola chapter 1 . 6/1/2006 I like these. _ They deal with my favorite characters. Favorites are # 12, 15, 16, 17, 21, 23, 26, 28, 29, 42, 45. I think coz they're the most striking, and somehow most well-written. But the set as a whole is really good, and reflects them well. Yay! |
