Love your characterization of Bruce. It is so in-character it's uncanny, because this story is written in 2006 and Bruce is almost exactly as how he is portrayed in the prequel TV show Gotham (2014) aired eight years in the future. unpleasantly calm and isolated with burst of violent tendencies. I wonder if Snape is questioning whether Bruce is actually Voldmort in disguise, and that is why he is looking at Bruce so closely. won't blame him myself, young Bruce is creepy as hell and often more like a supervillain mastermind in-training rather than a superhero.

Thank you so much for NOT putting Bruce in Gryffindor, because he does not belong there, ever. Gryffindor is not only about courage, it's also about not thinking before leaping, which is as far from Bruce Wayne as it could get. Gryffindor is also about chivalry, honor, and pride... Bruce Wayne/Batman? No, no, and no to all three. The Batman never fights fair, he jumps people, hide in the shadows, use anything he possibly can to his advantage and always ALWAYS lie by omission. That is so far from Gryffindor chivalry, it is absurd. As for honor and pride? The very existence of playboy Brucie means that he dumps both to further his agenda. Smears the Wayne name in Batman Begins and then smears the Batman's honor in TDK. So, never a Gryffindor.

Bruce Wayne doesn't belong in Hufflepuff either, because while people could make an argument about his loyalty, Batman is also the one keeping a file on taking down every single member of the Justice League WITHOUT telling anyone else. A whole animate movie (Justice League: Doom) was made to show how betrayed JL felt about that. Not to mention, he carries the Kryptonite ring around all the time. That is NOT actions a Hufflepuff would ever take, because Hufflepuffs are not only about loyalty but also trust and kindness.

As for Ravenclaw and Slytherin. I can see him in either one, though I personally think Slytherin fits him a little better. There is a quote somewhere on the internet that says the main difference between Ravenclaw and Slytherin is that Ravenclaw learn everything without a goal while Slytherin learn anything with a goal. This is the reason I prefer him in Slytherin, because Bruce did drop out of school in some interpretations and that is not a typical Ravenclaw behavior. Finally, manipulating people- friends and foes alike- has always been one of Batman's primary attributes... more often than not, he could make villains turn on each other by talking. Also in the movie "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse" Batman literally blackmailed Darkseid with a bluff, seriously humans cannot get any more cunning than that.

While I did like this story well enough, I thought that Bruce would find more people in the school to be interested in as well as Gryffindor trio if only for the fact that he is the type of person to never be unaware of other great talents instead of failing into the trap of just noticing the main three and no one else. Plus the thing with Slytherins all being almost the same still falls into that trap and awarding Bruce the least amount of points when there has never been inter-house cooperation in the series, or so little, especially concerning Slytherins. I don't mean to be too critical, because a lot of Bruce's observations and plotting and thoughts were amazing. But overall, nothing changed in the story from the book other than that you just added Bruce.

Funnily enough I've been rooting for putting Bruce Wayne in Slytherin for so long I can't even tell you. But it is nice to see that someone else had a similar idea, even though the story is finished a long time ago and you are unlikely to continue the series, sad as I might be to find this out. Love it anyway.

Just FYI: The Ministry of Magic has no jurisdiction in the United States, and the size and visibility of the superhuman community there makes the Statute of Secrecy a joke. There shouldn't be any problems with a magic-wielding Batman.

I really liked this story, sorry I didn't reveiw, I was just too caught up with it. Lol. I like bruce. His characteriztion is really good. I can't wait to get started on the next one...I wonder when Harry and the gang will find out about Bruces past...
