I love the concept behind this fic. This line here...Seer and Warrior together. Two brothers living as one, their souls are connected. It was an eye with crossed swords behind it. One cannot live without the other... Says it all. I so love this fic!

A vicious headache was pounding in his skull. The world was a spinning kaleidoscope of color. He felt the darkness rising around him. Helping hands pulled him to his feet. Sam swayed dangerously before he collapsed unconscious into his father’s arms.

“Dammit, dammit, dammit, Sammy,” the older man swore softly. Gently lifting his son, John carried him to the couch and set him down. Calloused fingers pushed damp hair from a sweaty forehead. John cared; he just didn’t know how to say it.

“We’ll find him Sam, we’ll find him and bring him home!”"

This is absolutely beautiful! The mental imagery of what Sam is going through and the pain he's feeling...My god, there are no words!

Aw.. that was a perfect recovery chapter. Nice bet o'banter between the bros and John's internal thoughts at how his sons were dealing and not dealing was great.

I really liked the Hunter, Seer, Warrior, Seeker references all throughout this story. Really and truly. Then, to have Vivian ushered in and stopping Dean's ascention; brilliant. Such a great brotherly reunion and along with Dad too.

So glad, however, that you have an epilogue as it needs just a bit more recovery.

GUH! Okay, I thought that when Dean and Sam were dragged down to hell, that THAT was the 'I killed Dean' moment you were referring to! But NO.. THIS is the chapter you were talking about!

But yea, those of us who whump Dean, we know better than to kill him. And the grief that Sam honed in on, the grief that shattered his soul is the anguish he used to defeat the demon on his own turf, but at such a high cost. Poor Sam.

Ah but on to more and let's hope, Dean resurrection?

WOW! U-BER-COOL! I really like how Gabriel was able to tap into Balthazar's possession and gain some much needed info on how to get Dean and Sam back! I love his strength! He's not just in some pool there on the floor simpering at what he went through, wrecked beyond redemption.

Okay. Seriously, quit thinking you're going to disappoint me here with the ending. This story is how it should be; during the climactic ending there needs another big push to bring things home, and THIS is IT!

oh my.. I really enjoyed this. The light, yet serious, yet ominous banter between Dean and Sam was just so precious. Yet, it seems odd to think that seeing what they're about to face. EEP!

It's what I'd been missing here in this story; Sam and Dean snarking at one another, and yet you kept it so incharacter as you just know that no matter the peril, this is what and who they are. The bit about Sam poking around in Dean's closet and how he really didn't want Sam to know how far gone he was.. YIPES!

This was a gut-wrenching, painfully hard chapter to read, for both physical and emotional torment. Gawd, I love John's determination to save Dean and how he admitted in the previous chapter, his love for both his boys.

Seriously, I truly appreciate how you characterize John. So misunderstood and under appreciated.

EEP! It wants SAM! More than the other hunters, John and Dean included, it wants SAM! That was quite the revelation and a good twist.

Once again, I really like Mike. He's really fitting in with the hunter's world- a chance at a normal life after this, might forever be lost to him, I fear. Oh, there you go, sucking me into the world of your oc's like they're canon or something. LOL
