Wow. This was just amazing. Great writing and just super real you know. God I just died when I thought Ron was dead but then you just tricked us! Did not see that coming. Loved it! Good stuff!

I'm curious as to whether you would consider showing the trials, or like a brief story about the families seeing the memories. I mean, how did McClaggens parents react to seeing his torture and death? How did Prangs family react to finding out about them eating him? In general, just seeing them react to the torture the characters went through.

Wow, this story blew me away. Love the hurt!Ron and Ron angst and the protective!everybody of Ron. And the huge twist at the end, holy shit, I did not expect Ron to NOT die. At first, I was like, no... Ron wouldn't be killed off. And then it got real and he died and damn, I didn't expect that but I accepted it. But then, clever Ron! He really DIDN'T die, holy shit! Wow, I was completely flat footed when I realized at the same time Moody did. Damn, you got us good! This story was such an emotional roller coaster and I loved all the characters that were hostages and you brought life to characters that either weren't too popular or new characters, damn. This was fantastic. I also loved how you showed how smart Ron was, being able to pick up Dutch that quick, and Ron and Lee's relationship. Thank you for sharing. Just... wow.

I can't believe I've never read this before. I am shattered by it. Utterly shattered. I can't believe how powerful it was. I cried multiple times, and at deaths of original characters you wrote. You are so gifted. This was such a hard read, but worth it. It is beautifully written, powerful, and just plain amazing.

I am confused why they don't use veritaserum on the death eaters. I do feel the rescue team isn't as hellbent on trying all possibilities that I think they would.
