But it's beautiful and I loved it.

What a beautiful story. This is the only LOCI story I have ever read that left me literally crying at the computer. As a Vet I see people and their canine companions every day that have a second connection through a deceased loved one and you capture the heart break and joy of that situation with beauty and ease and grace.

Wow that was touching. I love the idea of the pic being a dog.

My heart melts and now I love Alex all the more. Love this so much and I can't believe that I missed it when it was first posted.

Very nice, clear and concise writing. It's direct but still thoughtful and emotional, actually more so because of the absence of hackneyed cliches. Good work.

Better late than never...I was so impressed with this. You took a small, never-explained detail of set-dressing and turned it into a lovely, evocative window on parts of Eames' past that we never get to hear about on the show. It rang SO true to me, in every detail - which is really saying something because I tend to have pretty strong ideas about characters I like, and Eames is one of my favourites - on any TV show.

And, it's beautifully written. Love your style. Would love to see more from you!

Amazing! You did such a fantastic job with this! You not only brought in the emotion of everything, but you made it all very Alex. This is one of the best pieces of her life before Bobby I've ever read. You handled the marriage and the loss with great tenderness and literary skill. And as a dog lover, I could so totally relate to every aspect of the way they treated him. I have a dog very much like him, and teaching him manners is challenging, but not impossible. Getting my boys to assist in reinforcing those manners is just as challenging. You made me love the dog and mourn when she lost him. I say "Bravo!"
