I feel like Kishimoto did not successfully portrayed Sasuke's anguish if there are still people who believe he deserves all of it. For what kind of person deserves suffering? Even villains were not born as villains.

I love how these two pseudo-teammates of his have similar qualities to his original teammates but in reverse. These two do not flock to him but in fact, fear him. The boy heals and the girl is the wind element (I really liked how you had Sasuke even pick at that aspect, 'They don't even have the decency to get their roles right.') I also appreciated the fact that you saw how one does not have to 'love' Orochimaru to do his bidding, any kind of emotion towards him (hate, fear, disgust) automatically makes you connected to him in some way.

This was a very poetic piece and you did Sasuke's bitter voice perfectly. The ending stays true for him even to the very end of the series.

I was reading parts of it to my sister, and my grandmother overheard. When I gave a brief explanation of the series and Sasuke's situation in your story, she got a sad look on her face and said, "Oh, so he needs love." and while that wasn't actually what I was trying to co vey, its true enough .

Very deep and dark enough to depict Sasuke so well. You've done a great job depicting the Uchiha Avenger. Even though he considers them annoying, he really does care for his teammates. It's only right that something that will remind him of them would hurt him. Great job!

In so many ways, this fits rightly on how Sasuke would react to people who look like or remind him of Naruto and Sakura. The sequencing, the perspective, and even the last bit where Sasuke lets them go is just touching. The last sentence just kills me dead. XD

If only I had your level of skill with words...3 Ah, well.

Anyways, this is an undeniably wonderful fanfic. I just hope that you would continue writing Naruto fanfics like this.

i found this again i am so so happy because i had this in my favorites because i did not have an account in fanfiction and then my computer got sick u.u the poor thing :( and i lost all my archives and this is just lucky because i find it again i love this one shot is so so sad and sasuke kun is so broken that for one little moment i wish for them to be his naruto and sakura so he can be happy but he knows that they should be away from him so he can be strong and is sad

I like it. It's nice to see a Sasuke who has feelings, yet isn't mushy or out-of-character. I love how being near these people similar to his exteammates enrages him and makes him realize how important they were to him, and that he is still determined to meet his goal no matter what.
