Wow... It's deeper than it seems! I love how it changed my complete thoughts. It went from boy equals Syaoran to Kurogane to Sakura and then to Chii and then Ashura didn't really makes sense until the end. When Fai is calling himself the definition of denial it makes me laugh! I also liked the fact Kuro-Chu was interupting Fai's story instead of any of the children!

I've read quite a few story-telling tsubasa fics, but this is by far one of my favorite ; especially the uber-short dialogue between Kurogane and Fai at the end, "had to make it happy, for the children", and the wonderful last sentence. Me really likey _

When reading the summary I knew it'd be about Fai's past, but I thought the boy was Fai and the kitty was Chi ; then when Kurochi made his "guess who the kitty was" I thought it was supposed to be Kurowan (and I thought "eh ? isn't Kuropyon's supposed to be a doggy ? o.o". Aannd then I slowly started to understand and I was like "Oh. My. God.". The toy soldiers are a nice touch, too, and I really like how Fai starts to "slip" as he keeps talking.
