Wow. Absolutely enchanting. This is beyond beautiful. You are a very gifted poet. The rhythm is perfect, and there is this subtle deep aura to what the Dwarves' are feeling. "The girl who understood" I just shivered there. It reminded me a little bit of Francisca Lia Block's Snow White story "Snow" with that line. I love the simplicity of this poem and how you just alude to what is going on. Excellent.
