Aw! That was so good. Very well written and so...sad. I mean it was hot and I love the OroJira pairing, but it’s such a...doomed love; like ItaNaru and ZabuHaku. I think you really captured the young Orochi/Jira characters. Great Job! Ja ne!

Jiraiya's fascination with the fireflies amused me and I enjoyed that Orochimaru was equally entranced without wanting to show it. Your descriptions of their activities in the grass were wonderful. Orochimaru's uncomfortable reaction to Jiraiya wanting to have an active part in their exchange fit hit character quite well. The ending was perfect, illustrating Orochimaru's view that to grow strong he would have to use others, others he viewed as strong as well, meaning he couldn't feel for them.

I loved it! It was amazing, though the ending fit Oro's personality it was still rather sad. Though how can anything relating to Oro's relationships has to have some measure of angst to it.

*sniffle* that was sad T_T but i must also say it was very realistic and probably the most in-character portrayal of Orochimaru I have ever read, I applaud you... and now I go wallow in the angst that is Jiraiya and Orochimaru.

yay I'm first to review! I really liked this It was a bit disturbing at the end but that's good thing when you're dealing with orochimaru. Your writing style is very nice and fluid. It was a lovely, believable story.
