I love Claire now, as in the best-friend, kinda-want-to-be-her-because-she's-gonna-end-up-with-Riley way.

Thank GOD that I read your end note (the whole "I wouldn't really kill Riley" thing) because otherwise I would be screaming I HATE YOU...and strangling you slowly through an Internet connection. I'm trying not to send a flame here but I had a mini mental breakdown when Riley got shot by that madman.

The asylum is missing a member.

And the History Squad is, for now, missing a member. I am reading the next chapter. I hope I'm not disappointed. This is the first chapter where I've been truly saddened. Your writing is impeccable, your plot is brilliant (I officially LOVE your beta), your characters are well done...but I am truly terrified of a life without Riley Poole. He's just the guy you turn to when you have a suckish Internet connection. I'm a history freak; I need a computer geek here, not a Ben Gates, though I'm pretty sure that under different circumstances (like if he were REAL) Ben Gates might be my soulmate.

Riley's just got those damn blue eyes. They melt me just a little...lot...okay, I'm a puddle on the fricking floor.

PLEASE don't kill him off!

Is it terribly sad that I could totally see Ben looking "a little hurt" for being laughed at. I mean, The History Squad? Oh, yes. I know Ben would like that. I could totally see his sadness for being laughed at about that.

Claire really is one of the best original characters I've ever read. That, and you're actually pretty good at writing. Do you have any idea how many illiterate people try to write on this website? You don't give yourself enough credit! You know, this is the first National Treasure fic I've ever read, and I officially love it.

Good stuff so far, you captured Riley really well, and telling the story from his perspective is different since he doesn't care about the history as much and the movies make you want to care about it.

I honestly don't know where to begin. I spent an hour straight reading this story- and it blew me away. I guess what I'm trying to say is THIS IS THE BEST NT STORY I'VE EVER READ EVER IT WAS AWESOME. Ahem. Well, got that out of my system. But seriously, I loved it. The writing was professional and the characters were spot on. My favorite character in this franchise is Ian. The way you portrayed him was awesome. I wanted to hug him throughout this entire story. I really, really wish this could become NT 3! So, yeah. Just wanted to stop by and rant about how awesome this was, even though it's been, what, three years since you've written it? Whatever. Now I'm off to read the sequel. I will review it, too!

Hi! Just wanted to say that I absolutely love your writing! Great story! love the plot and how Ian is good. Also just wanted to say that I love Claire! I almost died laughing when she fell on him from the top hamock cuz i've done that before and it was on this guy i liked and we talked about it for days! we had a lot of those moments where you either saud 'that's what she said' or just both laugh because u made a sexual innuendo. :) love the story, and sorry that im reviewing after the story is complete i still wanted to tell you what i thought.

All righty, I started reading the sequel before this one, and then I realized that I had NO CLUE what was going on, so I read this one in its entirety. Great story! The plot was intriguing, the characters were believable, and I LOVED the cliffhangers (although for me, not such a big deal, since I read it all at once).

I'm off to start reading the sequel again now that I know what's going on...

By the way, Claire started off this story 24 years old. She finished it at age 23...thought you should know.

Yes! Everything is all right! Riley is alive, he and Claire are FINALLY together (plus a kiss, yay!) and they get to decide the finders fee... heheheh...

And riley, once again, needs to watch out for Ian. I have the strangest feeling that if Ian gets even the slightest hint that Riley's made Claire unhappy, Riley will need that altar again!

Wow. Lol, that's pretty much all I've got for the moment. Just wow. AWESOME story, awesome plot, great characters, Riley got beaten up and a girl... yehah! Love it!
