I adore this story. This is in so many ways the future I wished could have been (even if the show was too much about clean lines to ever let it be). I loved your use of the deaths of reporters and the moment of thread-thin hope at the end. Thank you for this.

It's absolutely lovely - sad, true. Almost mind-numbingly so at times, but there's a little twinge of hope at the end (well, as much hope as one can expect under the circumstances). Truly a worthy addition to a ship that doesn't get enough of them.

FINALLY I've read a fanfic that didn't end with them living happily ever after and Chloe popping out Lex's babies! This fanfic was witty, beautiful, ugly, harsh. Thanks so much for writing this!

And impressive, indeed. I mean, wow. I LOVED your use of the reporters that were assassinated, and I was holding my breath all during the last sequence. I thought he was going to do it. ;) The choice of rebirth over elimination was beautifully done. This whole fic was gorgeous.

Out of curiosity, was there a noticeable majority of female reporters on that list, or did you just choose to use more women because of the connection to Chloe?

This was incredible. Oh so dark, and oh so completely Chlex. The entire story felt like Lex wanted to just hold her, then squeeze her until she choked. It was just the way that the Lex of the future would be.

And on a personal note... as a journalism student I am now positively terrified. Maybe I should consider the Arts and Entertainment beat :)

Hmm, very enjoyable fic. The first decent bit of Chlex fic that I've read in a long, long time. Like most 'ships, the moment it becomes even remotely popular and everyone and their cousin decides that they would like to write it the quality of the fic goes downhill. Your fic was a wonderful relief.
