SalvatoreRoses chapter 11 . 4/11 the parts with John hurt so BAD. |
AshtynnAlba chapter 11 . 7/9/2018 I was crying at the ending and absolutely sick. I was terrified that Dean really was dead. And I loved the way it actually ended, although the nursery rhyme feels ominous in its message- is Sam dreaming or dead, so walking him and making him aware would make him cry?! |
AshtynnAlba chapter 2 . 7/9/2018 This is getting interesting! |
AshtynnAlba chapter 1 . 7/9/2018 I love your one liners lol you had me busting up :) |

aapenname chapter 11 . 3/11/2017 Wow. This was really, really good. I loved how Sam not only learned a lot about his brother, but also learned how to empathize with John who was only a few years older than Dean when he was suddenly trying to take care of two little kids while Sam struggled with just the one. You did a great job of making Dean feel in character but not too precocious and his relationship with Sam triggered all the feels. And I love that you incorporated Missouri. I love Missouri! |
Guest chapter 11 . 10/21/2016 I was about to cry but then it got better :) |
sunshine102897 chapter 11 . 5/10/2016 Ouch. Right in the feels. I swear that was just allergies that made my eyes water. Amazing amazing story. Thanks for writing! |
Guest chapter 11 . 3/27/2016 ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I cannot wait to read some of your other works. FANTASTIC. |
waitingforAslan chapter 11 . 3/5/2016 Great story. Love all the chapter titles. You had me scared - scared that Sam would never get his Dean back (even though I loved his determination to give Dean a childhood), scared that Dean would die. BTW, I LOVE the Edward Tulane book, even if it makes me cry. |
reader50 chapter 11 . 1/7/2016 I enjoyed the story. It was a bit grim. I didn't care for the sacrifice part where Dean was hit by a car, because it didn't seem like that much of a sacrifice to me. Actually, I wouldn't have minded the story ending with Sam raising Dean like he decided to do. That being said I loved that Dean was razzing Sam at the end. You are a good writer and the story had me hooked, I couldn't stop reading it. Thank you for sharing. |
Woman of Letters chapter 11 . 1/6/2016 Supernatural Monthly Fanfiction Awards Review: I've read many stories about Dean being deaged or cursed, but this one was different. The deaging was not a ploy or a simple plot device- it was a great way to examine Sam and Dean's relationship and Dean's childhood while reversing their usual roles. From the first chapter, I found Dean's response and Sam's reactions to finding his big-bro-turned-little-brother to be very realistic. The whole "I'm being kidnapped" thing, the reluctance to trust - why would Dean trust, given his father's education and mistrust of strangers? It was all very well done. Sam's decision to stand by Dean and give him a home, to take him out of the hunting life at the end was very sweet. While I was glad to see Dean back, it would have been a fun ending to have Sam actually become Dean's father. This sacrifice at the end, and Sam's offer to trade places and give his life instead were suprises to me, but I should have seen that coming. Nicely foreshadowed. Thank you for a sweet and moving story. |
TheYmp chapter 11 . 12/31/2015 Supernatural Fan Fiction Monthly Awards-Novel/Complete AU-Dec 2015 A compelling tale, you really pulled me into the story making it difficult to put down. It was an interesting examination of Sam's relationship with his brother and father - what was telling was how long it took Sam to decide on settling down. I liked that you included creatures from outside the usual stable for this with your ghul and gaki. The background to the werewolves-so many years before the episode with Garth-and the origin and reasons for the curse were all well conceived. There were several point you had on the verge of tears - but I have to say, that as relieved as I was that Dean wasn't dead, I did feel the final transformation back into an adult after so much "can't break this curse"-foreshadowing was a bit too "deus ex machina" for my liking. Hopefully, this contest will bring some new readers your way, as it would be great to see you writing in this fandom again. |
