Very nicely written! These are the types of fics that I can read all day :) Thank you for writing this and doing such a great job with it! Fai and Kuro-myuu were really in-character the entire time, so kudos!

Yeah, I guess the coffee symbolism is something people would like to comment on - I loved the imagery, especially Fai trying out the bitter, black version after talking to Kurogane.

"Kurogane snorted. '(...)Every man chooses how to live their life. But it doesn't mean I agree with it.' - 'Who said I agreed with yours either?' Fai murmured quietly. (...) - '…Who said ours were different?'"

I liked that part immensely, even though I'm not sure until now, what Kurogane is exactly is saying here: Is it that their "choices how to life their life" were similar? Or is he prompting Fai to tell him just how his life was different? Or is he hinting that their lives aren't different as they're so closely entwined with each other that he wouldn't consider theirs two separate lives? Huh, in the end it eventually sums up to: "You're not alone," and that's probably the statement which draws me in the most.

The writing is amazingly beautiful and loved the characterizations. They seem much more alive written by you than in most ffs. Really, I seldomly am able see so deep when reading about Kurogane and Fai. It's the little gestures, the rhythm of speech, the way Fai tells his life in a fairy tale... They're so alive and breathing and full of human mistakes, beliefs and hopes that I could imagine sitting next to them in a small, french café listening in on their conversation.

But coming back to the fairy tale - I loved the confusion it left Kurogane in. Not knowing whether he could believe him or couldn't. That was exactly the dynamic they have going between them, in a refreshingly different way.

You blow my mind with your Kuro/Fai fics - would you mind considering to write more of this pairing? I know it's been a long time since you posted these stories, but I just guess asking wouldn't hurt anyone. At least four years ago you were writing them brilliantly. ;)

I love this story it would be so cool if you turned it into a series I think I could really get into the plot line

Nice little story... I'm not so sure about the coffee metaphore though :/ it looks weak to me.

And I'm also failing to see the point in making the waitress speak French...

However, I like the observations the characters make about one another and Fai annoys me to always avoid the truth... I want to know what he's hiding ! but I guess I have to wait the end of the manga to have my answers ;)

I liked this a lot. It was really cool how you interpreted Fai's way of life to coffee (tee-hee). But my favorite part is how you showed that they are the other deep inside. How Fai is really a emotionless 'bastard' while Kurogane is the honest and 'kind' one. It really stick to the truth. It was great! *hug* hope you make more!

Finally! A fic that doesn't make Fai look like a wussy! You kept him amazingly in-character, I think which is a point that makes this fic really remarkable. Basically, this whole story based on the characters and their interactions, and along with your simple but metaphorical language, makes this one-chaptered fic a winner.

I once again want to praise you for not making Fai not OC. Many fanfic writers take it to the extreme where the reader feels like, This guy needs Kurogane to save his butt every second. He's hanging on the edge, but he has a little edge too. He's extremely intelligent and can think on his feet, 'kay? He's a survivor too!

Mais oui! I'm taking french, so I totally understood the dialoug, it's nice to think I'm actually learning somethin', ya know? anyway, the Coffee Imagery totally won me over. Yeah, I know everyone else has said that, but if I didn't then it would feel like cheating. So good job!
