Paradox Predator chapter 1 . 2/9/2019 This was amazing! Thank you for sharing it. |
Toaofwriting chapter 1 . 1/5/2019 Very well written. I like the characterization of Varno the future Witch-King. Great job! |
My blue rose chapter 1 . 7/21/2015 Very good. Excellent portrayal of a character we don't often see and delightfully true to Christian orthodoxy. |
marmota-b chapter 1 . 3/26/2013 I must say I skipped through parts... The most striking thing here came for me at the beginning - the light and the all-consuming fire. I had not thought of it that way. It does make sense when put that way. |
Murazor chapter 1 . 1/9/2013 A solid fic. Original, yet well rooted in Tolkien's canon and themes. |
Fortune Zyne chapter 1 . 5/29/2012 This was rather tragic and sad...Poor Indil... |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 1/2/2012 A great story. Very well written. |
Jayim Duinara chapter 1 . 12/3/2011 This was exceptionally well done. You were absolutely correct with the ending; his refusal to repent. God's love and mercy are great and men are not cast into hell because they reach a point where they are 'too bad' for Him to save. And yet, in a way that is exactly the problem: men reach a point where they are 'too bad' to be save. It's not that he reached a point where he COULDN'T repent even it he WANTED to; he reached the point where he WOULDN'T even if he COULD. We rejoice when the goodness of mercy prevails; when mercy is rejected, we are left with a grim satisfaction that the goodness of justice has been served. Well written. |
Atalanta7 chapter 1 . 2/13/2011 that was pretty amazing and good that you have not created an AU where he would have been suddenly light again or some cheesy reunion scene, because the way you wrote it was authentic as well as heartfelt |
foreverkneeld chapter 1 . 1/23/2010 Beautiful. My deepest respect, you have written a work of art. Go with God, Eavis |
Thalion King's Daughter chapter 1 . 3/23/2008 This was really good. I think you did an excellent job of showing the slow decline into evil. The, as you put it, "it could have been otherwise" was perfectly clear. So many times when one different choice would have brought a drastically different end! Very, very well done. In the King's service, Thalion Eruiel |
Aislynn Crowdaughter chapter 1 . 10/31/2007 Hi! I hopped along a few favorite stories lists, today, and found this story. And I am glad I did! This is a great piece. I am usually no big fan of stories with a Christian touch, but you manage to fit the fate of the late Witch King into Tolkien's mythology and universe very well, and in a way that feels completely correct. i also like the way the fea of the Witch King can't remember, and mainly has judged himself, already, by his own inability to feel. Very well done, and very intense story. I like! Tank you for writing and sharing! |
eiluj chapter 1 . 8/18/2007 Wow! Found this on someone's list of favorites - and having read it, I know why. Never thought I'd feel sorry for the Witch King... *Very* well done! |
Lirenel chapter 1 . 6/27/2006 Wow, this was amazing. I too am a Christian and it is wonderful to have someone write the truth. Great job and God bless. |
Samus chapter 1 . 6/12/2006 Oh, that was such a wonderful story. Dark, yes, but in a good way. I hadn't heard that about the Christian vs. Greek tragedy, but I think it's very true. Yes, what a wonderful, tragic tale, and an excellent warning. |
