At first I thought Renji had gotten shit-faced drunk, then Byakuya mentioned, "It wasn't battle ready..." which led me to believe it was Bankai. Then when I saw the part of Byakuya pouring tea for Renji, it was a..."Wait...what the heck..." then..."Wow, he's actually going to help him with Bankai...COOL!" But yeah I like this. Renji: Well It seems that I have to fight you to get to Rukia.
Byakuya: Yes you will have to.
Renji: Fine then, I hate to have to use this on you since you were the one who helped me gain it.
Byakuya: You mean your Bankai?
Renji: Yes, I care for Rukia too much for her to die and if that means turning my own Bankai on you to reach her...so be it!
Byakuya: Then come at me Renji, Show me how much you have learned.
Something along those lines, not those exact words but you get the idea, right? That would have been totally awesome. A little heartbreaking, but totally awesome.

I do not see how this is rated M, it should have been rated T. Because I did not read anything that involved sex scenes or anything else.

I love the way you write it is amazing but i have to wonder why this is rated M? I have only gotten to chapter 4 but it seems like the M scenes have been bleeped out. Also i often have to back-pedal to see where the scene switched. Probly not your fault but 's for removing scene break lines...

I wish you were still writing this, this is the most thought out and nicely written Byakuya Renji fic I have ever read. I really enjoyed it, and the fact that it doesn't solely concentrate on them two having sex. Its a good change. The whole plot and story is awesome, I really wish you continued it. I personally love the anime after this chapter, with all the arrancar and whatnot, but I totally understand why you have decided to stop. Its hard to write a Byakuya Renji fic when two hardly come into contact with each other lol. Still, a good fic.
