You captured the characters beautifully and now I'm all full of emotion.

It was a little rambly, but I think it was spectacular, and I started tearing up at the end. Very good job.

Absolutely spellbinding. I must be hoest I actually cried at points of that story(Future reference do not read this whilst listening to My Immortal by Evenescence!). I much prefer S/D fics than any other and I think you captured both individuals amazingly. Drusilla has always been a character which has intrigued me and this fic portrays her almost helplessness side amazingly. Spike was the perfect mix o attitude trying to mask his true feelings and the last scene in the graveyard with Buffy was very vivid.

The line that got me was '...and before you say

a word about Angel trying to Hoover the world into the

seventh ring of hell and you staking him, let me say

this was different. I didn't love Dru for a year

or two. I loved her for a hundred and twenty.

That's twice many human lifetimes.' It just seemed something so Spike-like to say but truly showed how much he'd adored Dru.

This is a beautiful heart rending story. You given us a clear picture of Dru and Spike relationship and a better understanding of Spike.

Um, wow? Not entirely sure how to say this because I feel a bit blasted by it all: Poor Spike - the way he killed Drusilla was just so sad. Amazing story. Thank you so much for posting. Absolutely beautiful. On consideration definitely: Wow.

I quite literally have tears coming to my eyes. I'm somewhat upset that you, well you know (I love Dru), but such a fitting eulogy. You bring all the resonant themes of the Buffyverse to the forefront in a way which is lyrical and heartrendering. Excellent work.

wow. I particularly liked the scene you posted on BAPS, just because it's so perfectly Dru - but then, it all is. you have totally awesome characterisations of Spike and Dru here, and it's all sad and beautiful and... wow.

Wow. I mean, WOW. That final drama was singularly the best scene I've ever seen someone write about Drusilla. And vampires. And souls and damnantion. You captured the tragedy behind both Spike and Dru so shockingly well... his love and her need. You managed to pick on the fine point that wasn't hinted at in BtVS but not developed... that tough Dru loved Angel, part of her hated him also for what he did to her.

I can't go on to all the parts that I loved so much about this. Frankly, I had no idea where it was going at first and wasn't sure if I was gonna like it as much as your other fics, but the finale was beyond worth the wait.

It was an amazing Dramatic set-up; Dawn being the hostage, but in such an uncliched way; Spike torn between two loves, two equal sides to his purpose in life; Buffy and Xander and Harmony being made to witness such a terrible, personal event, and thus learning more about Spike than they'd have ever credited him with otherwise. And you wrote Dru's madness beautifully. And you captured the younger, more childish Dawn so well also, and the strange almost-friendshp thing with Spike.

I stayed up an extra hour and half just to finish; I was so caught up in this fanfiction. I'm going to run over to the Crumbling Walls B/S forum and reccomend the hell out of this fic to everyone there, cause D*MN, if I don't thik everyone shold read this. And it's going to have to go onto my fav stories list too, which is a bummer because it means I have to remove some other amazing fic. 15 just isn't enough. oh well. Good night, or, good morning I suppose. Considering it is, like, 2:31am. Write more of Crux Ansata. Write more of Darkness Falls. Long live the B/S romance, and goodnight.

Well, what can I possibly say? It is a beautiful story and you told it very

touchingly. I felt for both Spike and Drusilla.

Is this the end of the story? So much of fanfic goes on and on

I think this is the best Buffy story I've read to date. It was an excellent insight into Spike's character, and it almost made me cry. I'm still a big Spike/Dru fan, and I loved your take on their relationship. Your Dru was characterized great, as well.

Why isn't this story better known? LA Ward, I have just recced this to my mailing list because I thought it was brilliant. Hope you don't mind.
