I don't think I've ever read a fanfic quite like this before. I'm not sure I've read any books like this before.

Chris/Susan is a very interesting character. Your opinions of The various characters was, I think, quite original and refreshing.
Gendo, while usually portrayed as the "bastard king", is also just as often portrayed as untouchable. But you show he is no different than any other man in a position of power: Dependent on his subordinates for the exercise of his commands and for protection.
Ritsuko wasn't too new of a view, but still showed a different side of the intelligent woman.
Maya was a nice change from the powerless, background character she is usually portrayed as.
The Children were each done from a refreshing angle, showing they ARE just children, and sometimes petty ones. Kensuke was a nice change from how he is usually portrayed, and I wish we could have seen Touji as well.
In the end, I am saddened by the loss of Susan, though based on several lines earlier in the story perhaps she simply returned to his own time. I am also saddened by the loss of Ritsuko. Rei's change from Ayanami to Ikari at the end was heartening, and I only wish that angle could have been explored a bit more.
Again, I loved the tale.

You know, i read the whole 32 chaps at one night... So I take some time to review the whole story.

At the beginning, i wondered if you were inspired by "I was the teenage dummy plug" and turned the whole character appearance into a dark negation, including beatings.

So what, i thought, a really good desillusion for those who're expect to meet the whole Eva-verse with open arms. Good, dry humour for describe how f*d the situation was.

Further in the story i noticed how cynic, indifferent...and full of hatred Susan can be. I dunno, maybe it was your intent to keep yourself motivated by steady confrontations with everyone, like, i would say, fueling your fire. Or was it?

Well then, after the cruel part of my heart had a chance to gloat at Gendo's punishment, i read the snuff scene and found it a little overdone, but it was nothing compared to the latter character demises in the end - especially your light-hearted way do describe their deaths, it was a bit disturbing.

As the blurry line of Susans and angel-induced hatred was passed and it came to a showdown, i congratulated you for creating an antihero, a person who i really loved to hate and wishing for death. Hmm... She was a pawn to gather the essence of hatred by someone... What happened to her later, was almost symbolical.

God damn that was a fucking ending. I'd like to think that it lives up to Evangelion. The explaination of why you came to be and how you just faded away into nothing (or did you) and just well...everthing.

Wow, didnt go out with too much of a bang, did you? I really expected a fighter like Susan to go out with a real bang, and take the whole rest of the world with her. I mean when she/he goes off, Susan makes Asuka look passive. Really unusual way to deal with Third Impact, I mean is the whole world going to be royally screwed?(as if it wasnt in EOE) Okay i dont want to ruin the story for anyone who reads the reviews before the story, so I'll shut up now, but you better make good stuff like this in the future(goes to read the rest of GoatMan's fics)

Truly masterful. A great ending to a great story. Also, I liked, hell I can't even begin. However, all of the effort you put into creating an original thought and plot most assuridly paid off. Looking forward to more from you. One doesn't often get to make a "canon" fic that turns out with the same ending as the original series. Bravo!

Ok, so I wasn't quite expecting this to end here, or like this, but I can't say I'm displeased with it. In fact, I find it quite satisfactory when I really think about it.

It's a bit funny in the end though, as I had been expecting this story to end with a bang, or at least with a whimper if things went bad. I could have never guessed it would have ended with such open ending, which leaves quite a bit for the reader's imagination of what might happen after it. Sure, the author did leave us with quite a clear picture of what might be, but for me it was quite vague and I'm also quite certain it was on purpose. Anyway, it did its work, and I can't really think of anything to complain about it...well, not without making a complete fool out of myself.

This story had a solid plot, good grammar, well done dialogues, and more attitude than what I've ever seen in any NGE-fanfic...well, for now that is. I think this story deserves its place among the very best NGE-stories ever publishes here in the and hope that the author will grace us with more of his creative works in the future.

This has been an intense read, start to finish. Your ability to describe situations through the written word is amazing.
