Great tag! And it's true, they were both injured, especially Dean, but the show had them walking away at the end like nothing was wrong. Glad for fanfics like this that fill in the blanks.

As much as I can understand the sentiment of the whole Dean probally would have killed them if they'd have hurt Sam and Sam wanted to kill them because they tortured Dean but I honestly don't think however seemingly justified by those peoples' actions that it would have been that Sam could have done it and still been able to live with the weight
On his conscience of what he'd done, that he'd killed another human being no matter how twisted they were I honestly amd whole-heartedly believe that IF Sam had gone back and taken revenge on them that it would have killed him , not literally but it would have killed him inside because of how guilty he would have felt even if it was because they hurt and were going to kill his brother.

Amazing story. I loved Sam's reaction to Dean's pain, and his guilt that he hadn't taken revenge. Interesting to point out just how perceptive Dean really is. loved the whole "turn the other cheek" comment.

I really liked this tag. The Benders has always been a favorite episode of mine.

Lots of great banter throughout. I've been so missing it on the show lately. This made me laugh: “I was supposed to inherit the next super power, damn it.”

Aw..."As a kid, he’d become an expert at scoping out hidden injuries his brother was constantly concealing." Love this glimpse into their childhood.

This made me laugh too: “Have I told you how warped you are, lately?” Dean smiled at him. “Yeah, but you can never say I love you enough, cupcake.”

And this: "Sam continued to look at him, the whole puppy dog eye thing going on. “I’m immune to your persuasive mind-bending powers, Captain Amazing.”" *snort* LOL

I LOVE protective Dean: "“I’d have killed them,” he finally said, trying to get his heart rate under control. After all, it wasn‘t Sam they‘d tortured-it was him. “I’d have killed them all.” Dean had said as much when the bastards had rubbed Sam’s imminent demise in his face. And he’d meant it."

I also really love protective Sam, and liked that he was really angry about what had been done to Dean.

Ah, here's the Sam I love and miss: "Dean watched his brother struggle with his monstrous humanity and felt both sorry for him and extremely proud of him." Wanting to do what's right, even when it's hard and painful. Wrestling with his morality.

I loved this fic! It shows lots of that special brotherly bond that fangirls like me love to see, and not to mention you kept them both completely in character! I mean, I could literally picture our boys going back and forth in their little arguments, saying exactly those things.

I want to say something deep and meaningful, but I got nothing. It's a great fic though. I especially liked the way you tied up Dean's reaction to Missy and the look that passes between Sam and Kathleen.
