Here's an idea: Colin pretty much is drunk, right? Mary harbors feelings for him, though she's engaged to marry Dicken. I love the idea of how Colin wants to win her but how about if she marries Dicken and then maybe, Dicken suddenly dies, leaving Colin flabbergasted and stunned. Exclude Catherine and all his rumors and Mary suddenly feels alone and abandoned. With only the haunting memory of her late husband, Colin takes the boldest move in the world and much to his father's surprise! He attempts to win Mary's heart but over the course of time, he learns that she conceived and she's carrying Dicken's baby. And remember how his mother died from the swing with him? Take the intuitive to become a man, Colin, and marry her!

Please don't stop now! You've been writing this story for so long. I'd lice for you to get to complete it (and for me to get to read the end...)

Surprisingly I did not see this update for over a year, happy to have a new chapter and I really hope you don't abandon this story, I love it a lot.

I saw TSG once when I was a child, I could barely remember the movie's contents and characters. But today I decided to take a trip down memory lane, watching all my favorite childhood movies and suddenly I remember TSG. Perhaps I was too young to really understand much that goes on in the movie but watching it again, now I understand much better. And ofc I've realized how much I enjoy Dickon and Mary's friendship. And then before I knew it, I found myself looking for fan fiction based on them because I don't want to accept that the second movie ruined my perceptions of the original (at least that's what I'll think if I see it). So I won't and will continue to read fan fiction of them instead. Thanks for writing this. I'm enjoying so far~
P. S. I remember I did have a crush on Dickon when I was younger and still do. I live his and Mary's dynamic relationship with each other.
