It could have been more emotional. In a different way.

You could have shown the reaction of the team and what they feel without making them all cry. Geez, the guys are trained experienced soldiers! I don't mean that they don't feel anything, it's that they are specifically trained to keep their feelings under control to resolve the situation. That means no tears and overly emotional phrases in front of armed dangerous people keeping them hostage. If they reacted like that every time someone of them was in mortal peril they would have been long dead...

Also, the way they react seems absolutely the same to me. Like they have no individuality at all. You didn't even mention the guilt Murdoc obviously felt during their "predicament". Didn't imply the fury he felt afterwards. Didn't describe how controlled Hannibal voice was, despite the expression on his face telling a different story... so on.

Somehow, the scene with Hannibal being the first to cry out seems a bit fake to me. Empty gaze or an initial expression of shock is more believable. When you are hit by a grief so big, it takes some time to kick in. To be fully realized. And generally it's not just a couple of seconds.

That, and I imagine that should something like this happen, Hannibal would have fallen dead silent instead... all guilty and moody and angsty... but that's just my interpretation.

It all could have been better, though, if you added more description. There's none in this story, and it gives an impression of being rough and crude...
