jenwincartbark chapter 1 . 7/5 loved it |
Loki Joker Quinn Jr chapter 1 . 2/22/2016 Wow so good XD |
AutumnAtMidnite chapter 1 . 11/5/2014 What a poignant interlude for this underrated episode. The way Spock warred with his emotions throughout really pulled at my heartstrings - I thought you portrayed reactions realistically, considering what a torrent (by his standards, anyway) of emotion we see pour out of him in Plato's Stepchildren, and this missing scene went a fair way in further explaining his motivations for admitting to hatred. Very well done, especially that ending. |
Ersatz Einstein chapter 1 . 11/1/2013 Spock is rather OC at the beginning, but the dialogue was excellent, and since it seemed like you were going to go in a romantic, the ending was a pleasant surprise. (Speaking of the ending, I'd like to mention that it was clever, wonderfully written, and very sweet.) |
Spacer Paste chapter 1 . 7/9/2013 This was lovely. Thank you. |
PutMoneyInThyPurse chapter 1 . 5/22/2013 "His captain sat with care, and Spock felt murder knot in his back. "Sit down, Spock." Kirk told him, shifting his weight with a wince. Spock sat, jarring his teeth." Oh WOW. that-that first line - 'felt murder knot' - such economy, saying everything, oh god. 'with care.' and the repetition of twenty-three-point-seven... oh GOD. And so comforting and... Spock's POV is FLAWLESS, and just... thank you for writing this. |
sami1010220 chapter 1 . 4/11/2013 Aww, great job! |
britfanatic76 chapter 1 . 2/28/2013 D'awwwwwww. You capture their affection and concern for one another perfectly, and that sweet ending embodies everything I love about Spirk. Beautifully done. |
MilleniumHeart323 chapter 1 . 10/1/2012 Awww :D this was very cute Love it |
Closet Scrawler chapter 1 . 11/8/2009 This story was posted a few years ago, so I am not certain if you still track reviews. Just in case you are - I wish to add my voice. I found this listed in some one's favorite stories, and I'm going to add it to mine as well. If one considers the Greek idolization of the human form (both genders) and the Platonian's idolization of Greek culture, it's almost a given that Kirk would be found attractive. The fact that Parmen was male would have no bearing, for the Greeks were open about that as well. I personally find it UNlikely that something similar to this would NOT have happened. Particularly when you watch how much what's-her-name-that-I-can't-remember-at-the-moment-and-am-too-lazy-to-look-up enjoys the torture scene they force Spock and Kirk to enact on Chapel and Uhura. Watch her. She's completely turned on by it. Creepy. Very well written, and fits in nicely with Spock's almost uncontrollable rage. (Being embarrassed is bad enough, being almost forced to hurt Kirk was even worse, but something like this would really explain Spock's self-confessed fury.) |
yumi2482 chapter 1 . 6/6/2009 aww so sweet |
Vulcan Wolf chapter 1 . 5/13/2009 aww! just a brief moment of sweetness between friends! love it! going into my favorites! thanks for the moment of sheer, innocent pleasure in the company of a few friends. |
soaked velvet starlight chapter 1 . 1/15/2009 Wow...just...wow. What a beautiful story. I love Kirk in here, how much he means to Spock and how much he knows about him, how much he knows what will make Spock feel a certain way, what Spock is thinking, and how to comfort him without jarring or shocking or provoking the "illogical, no emotions" response. It's just...beautiful. You captured perfectly everything that makes Kirk so great. And the thought of Spock are perfectly written. I could imagine him thinking like that easily...although nothing this dark would be explicit in the show. Did Kirk actually get...you know? *shudder* What a sick culture. That's really really creepy, but still adds some substance to the Platonians' evilness in this craptastic episode. This is the worst review with respect to the story's quality that I have ever wrote, but words really fail me to describe the astounding quality of the writing and characterization here. Great, great job. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 12/9/2008 A great story. Very good. |
errorfailliafrorre chapter 1 . 11/8/2008 This is beautifully done. The quintessence of everything these two are for each other. Very precise. Very authentic. And moving to tears. Thank you. Anna |
