I guess they planned to enter the Great Hall separately so that your readers and their old classmates would all be equally surprised? The descriptions of Hermione at the beginning feel very over-the-top to me, though. You pile on so many flattering adjectives one after the other (beautiful, poised, confidence, beauty, wisdom, attractive, etc.) and nearly every man in the Great Hall gasps drools her over, including the married ones - isn't that a bit much? |
