Cermando chapter 14 . 4/23/2016

machievelli chapter 1 . 10/28/2012
Supposed to have been posted 16 March 2012, at and the Coruscant Entertainment Center in my The Critic's Two Cents. but I had problems with my computer that literally made every document and link hidden, and flaked on attaching these reviews to the original story threads for the last year. Everyone say; 'Mach is a flake, Mach is a yo-yo'. Better yet (Waves hand) 'Mach is trying, but he's still a flake'. Then to make me even more like a buttermilk biscuit (more flaky) my computer went down again in June of 2012 with yet another virus. So this is even later...

Eight Years Pre KOTOR: The war begins

The first chapter was basically a reprise of what we know about Dxun, Onderon, and the Mandalorians themselves. But the fun begins in Chapter two. Already 14 chapters long, I wish I had time to read it all.
martin chapter 14 . 10/13/2007
nice story...do you have any with a zabrak as a main char...i dont have much usfull to say but rock on
Darth Red chapter 14 . 6/30/2006
That's alright, you were a little in over your head anyway trying to write a daunting thing like 'The Mandalorian Wars' is no easy task, but if you start writing this again i'll come back and read. If you do, let me know as i'll be taking it out of my favorites...nice effort, Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 13 . 6/11/2006
Very odd chapter...where are you taking this? There was other wars besides the Onderon battle, much more prudent than this...merely a suggestion as i see you need to build the situation and characters up but if you continue on like this it will take you an ungoldly amount of time to finish, there were A LOT of batles from the Mandalorian War, a lot, you should maybe spend less time and stick to the fundumentals of telling the war(Mandalorian triuphs, Revan, etc...)...just a suggestion from a fellow writer who understands how long it takes to write such chapters...i'll be offline for a while do to tech problems with my hard drive but rest assured i'll be back to continue reading, hopefully...Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 12 . 6/9/2006
Interesting the way you described the Battle of Onderon so far but remember from Kotor II Mandalore(Canderous) said that the city fell within hours, battle is starting to carry on past that it seems like, anyways good stuff, looking forward to reading more...Darth Red.
RPLG chapter 12 . 6/5/2006
"disserted?"

Typo.

I think that "none-the-less" has no hyphens, but I could be wrong.

I like the space pirate and Pazaak analogies.

As much as I hated Vaklu in KOTOR II, I really hate the scumbag now. He has his priorities mixed up; they are in the middle of a ruined city and Vaklu is talking like they are in a drawing room.

Yiim is more patient than I would be under the circumstances.

Two characters with completely different personalities have been thrown together. I am most curious as to how this turns out.
RPLG chapter 11 . 6/3/2006
I empathize with Vaklu's reaction to the broken door controls.

"...not one of the pomp and regalia types that seemed to make up the ORM."

A problem common to most hierarchies: the biggest idiot gets the promotion.

I may have mentioned this, but I like the way you select individual soldiers from each side, and give some of their background and the war from their perspective. It makes the story so much more interesting in my view rather than focusing solely on the "main characters" (although I suppose that this being a story of a major war would require that).

I like the ending. I'd like to think the obvious, but in any case I eagerly await the next update.
Darth Red chapter 10 . 5/6/2006
Kinda odd follow up but I understand you gotta build up the war first, i'm sure you'll get back to the action soon...please continue to update, Darth Red.
RPLG chapter 10 . 5/3/2006
The second part is extremely well-written. You do a beautiful job of writing her inner conflict (of all the characters, really).

"Padawan who was notorious for being an accomplished gossip."

The idea of a Jedi gossip is amusing.

I can honestly say I have never contemplated the direction you are taking. It makes me want to run through the game another time, just to see if that makes anything stand out fresh. I really look forward to seeing how it plays out.
Darth Red chapter 9 . 4/11/2006
Please continue, your a very good writer and so far have paid great respect to the KOTOR era, suggestion: try envisioning some of the battles or maybe look online for some detailed information on some of the battles of the mandalorian war, there where a lot of them, if i were you i'd stick to the important ones like Ossus, Malachor V, Mandalore...etc, great job, keep it up...Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 7 . 4/9/2006
Pretty good, things are heating up, i'll read the rest of chapter four later, but from what i've read about the mandalorian wars you're going to have your hands full writing all those battles...Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 5 . 4/8/2006
Much better, the ground fighting chapter was my favorite, the others were way too wordy. And you may want to think about not making your paragraphs so big, split things up. All in all a great read, keep it up, Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 2 . 4/7/2006
Still very wordy, i understand you need to describe everything but its like a history lesson reading this, lol. In anycase still compelling and i'll think i'll hang on to this one...Darth Red.
Darth Red chapter 1 . 4/7/2006
A bit wordy but a great opening, just fishing around for new stories to read, yours sounds like a keeper, we'll see...Darth Red.
