Reviews for Twenty Four Months
HazySunray chapter 25 . 11/30/2013
I am seriously baffled by these 25 chapters of pure awesomeness. Tim is my favourite Robin because to me, he has the full package. He does as he's told without questioning it because he's unsure of his place, he's intelligent and able to create plans and schemes the other Robins couldn't, he's not as flexible as Dick, nor does he understand life on the streets the way Jason does, and he isn't as malicious and stealthy as Damian, but he learns. He learns. And he does it so well and so quickly. He never had the aptitude for being flexible or much of an acrobat, but his acrobatic skills are as good as Jason's and Damian's, and he could probably give Dick a run for his money.

I loved the way you depicted both Tim and Bruce in this story. You really made him transform from that uncertain yet brave boy to the self-assured strong young man he is as Robin. I also adore the way you made Bruce a shade darker and a little on the anti-social side. I think the hardest part for Tim was always getting Bruce to open up to him. That's probably why he understands the Dark Knight better than anyone else. He's the one who proclaimed that Bruce NEEDED a Robin, and he was right, because he understands the Batman very well. He just doesn't understand Bruce. And I think it must've hurt him a lot when Damian showed up and ruined the whole shebang, claiming that as the son of Bruce he is the only one who deserves a rightful place by Bruce's side.

Anyway, this story was marvellous and inspiring and you should be very proud of it because it's freaking awesome!

Kopy Kat chapter 25 . 3/29/2010
Wow! This is an awesome story and it covers some things I hadn't thought of. I haven't read any comics books from the time when Bruce is training Tim or from when he is deciding too. I can't find any, but if it is anything like this story than it is awesome. Great job!

Sorry amazingly funny typo.

Landing in a crotch, Tim waited a second to see where his quarry was heading, before sprinting.

croutch. :D
CordeliaHunter chapter 25 . 1/3/2009
This story wasn't any less enjoyable because it was made up of snippets which weren't continuous in time. In fact, I enjoyed reading it in this manner and I think for stories that show the training of a character, this might be the best way.

I have to say I enjoyed the physical lessons more than the mental ones, but not always. In fact, my most favourite scene was:

*

As Tim made his way out of the Manor, Alfred’s voice stopped his exit.

“It took Masters Dick and Jason three weeks to be able to answer even half of those questions. I believe I am beginning to better understand why Master Bruce chose you and what he sees in you.”

The young man swallowed the lump in his throat. “Thank you Alfred that… that means a lot.”

*

I fully agree with Tim when he says that it means a lot. It really does.

I'm adding this story to my favourites list. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Agena K chapter 19 . 9/28/2007
Dear Susie, this is one of my all time favorite fics I downloaded it to my computer because I had no room left on my list. but upon a reread, I found an interesting quirk. I copied the text with my corresponding questions.

"It was in the middle of this panic attack, that Alfred came downstairs after receiving a call from Bruce."

So How did Bruce know? Where was he there that he witnessed the panic attack and why didn’t he help?

thanks, Jude

This is one of the most amazing serial stories I have ever read. It makes me wish they were real just to send them a link to your story!

very good story indeed
Arlene chapter 25 . 8/16/2006
I really enjoyed this, especially since it showed how Tim's transformation by the end of each chapter. Very well done!
Ghost in the Machine chapter 25 . 8/12/2006
Overall, this story is something that I consider extraordinarily rare. This is clearly AU and has no relationship to how Tim became Robin in the comics. But it's still plausible. (Not to mention entertaining and well written.) Most authors, once they enter AU territory, can't wait to abandon everything about a character's personality they find even mildly inconvenient. You didn't do this. Tim still feels like Tim even though you can see him change and develop throughout the fic. Good job.
batfan7 chapter 25 . 8/11/2006
Sigh. A very satisfying ending, although I am sad to see it's over. Thanks for the great entertainment. Are you planning another story sometime soon? This one was well written and I'm sure anything else you do will be equally well done.
ClassicalBrunette chapter 25 . 8/10/2006
A great ending to a great story. Thank you.
Screaming Dean chapter 25 . 8/8/2006
This was very good. I liked it a great deal. You're the only one who has written something like this. I hope you plan to write something else in the future.
