I'd recommend tossing the gormogon crap entirely with respect to Zack being the apprentice. It didn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense in the show to start with and turned me off the show fairly quickly personally.

I like Zack and I never totally bought the apprentice thing. Sweets later proves that Zack isn't a murderer. I wish there were more stories with Zack.

I'm 5yrs too late but I Love this Story. I wish you would have continued it.

Great story. I love the inclusion of Birdie from the Kathy Reichs books. The chapter with Booth and Birdie was great.

Vivian Booth is an interesting character too.
