the manga's at chapter 319 i think. there wasn't exactly an uryu-mayuri battle, however there was a mayuri-versus-another-dude-who-beat-the-crap-out-of-uryu battle

well written. i loved that Ishida was so calm and cool and Ken came to help him out and gave him some respect. Ken is SO cool. love that big ol brute

Wow. I am so happy I stumbled upon this fic. It takes a talented writer to tackle a character such as Mayuri. You did so flawlessly. I am sincerely impressed with your ability not only to write well, but to perfectly capture not only Mayuri, but every other character as well. There are so many fics on this site that don't even attempt a true characterization so it is extremely refreshing to find a writer who cares enough about the material to keep the characters in character.

I am recommending this fic to several of my friends who I'm sure will enjoy it just as much as I did. Fantastic story! Reading this really made my night.

I really liked this story, for all the reasons that your other reviewers stated. _ The characterizations of Mayuri and Kenpachi (as well as the others) were spot-on. Even though Mayuri is utterly creepy, I still manage to like him anyway. XD

I am horrible at reviews, but I am addicted to your writing. I just got into Bleach and I still have a lot to catch up on, but i adore the amazing stories you tell. I admit, this story had some...guilty pleasure bondage moments, but they were written so skillfully!

Oh, WOW. This was absolutely wonderful. Not many would try to tackle Mayuri and his inner gears, but you did it with deft skill and insight. I tend to be attracted to those under-your-skin-shivers subtly creepy type of pieces just in general, but this one was far more than that. It would be hard to pick out specifics here, because the whole thing was beautifully paced and wonderfully narrated. Mayuri's dialogue especially felt spot-on; the almost simplistic sort of genius curiosity, the creepiness factor of which only seems to really kick in a few heartbeats after he's spoken. Very nice.

And Kenpachi's appearance was just the icing on the cake. Once again, fabulous insight into his character. I'm only just beginning to explore your fics, so it's quite possible that it is redundant of me to say this, but I would love to see more Kenpachi-themed stories from you. Well, at the moment I would love to see anything more from you, and fortunately I can! So I'll just skip along now to read some more...
