I realised I had already read a part of this story, I’m happy to have found it back. Ah, maybe people have pointed it out, but the first part of chapter 5 repeats itself at some point, and around the middle, you wrote Sevrus instead of Severus. Well, nothing big.

I consider myself well-versed in the world of Harry and Snape fanfiction, in all its forms. I've read this genre for over a decade, and continue to find new and brilliant pieces to read blissfully. This piece, The Fourth Year, remains to date, the best piece of Harry Potter and Severus Snape fanfiction I have ever read. I was randomly thinking of this piece the other day, and realized I could not recall its title, the author's name or even where I first read it. I ardently remembered how you captured Snape so honestly and precisely. And I remembered how believable this narrative played out, and how badly I wished it went on for dozens of more chapters. Oddly enough, I remembered "Port in a Storm" and the last sentence of this magnificent story, "Sunlight filtered through the curtains." These two lone search strings lead me back to here, where I read it again, and just like the first time, was left in tears, smiling, and truly believing that this is how it went. Congratulations. Again.

I have no idea why I've never before told you how wonderful this is.
