That chapter was amazing! Best Numb3rs story I have ever read! So well done and very in character. I love that Charlie wanted to go and spend time with Don, how sweet! And Don freaking out over Charlie lying there lifeless was such a powerful scene. I'm very intrigued! Can't wait to see what occures next chapter

Awesome story. You are the master of Don and Charlie interaction - you make every scene between them play out so perfctly! It's so sweet how Don helps Charlie, and they do their best to save one another. I totally enjoyed this. Thanks for great writing and neat ideas. :)

I read this a while back and just happened on it again. I absolutely love this fic, definitely one of the best in this category. The brother's interaction, Don's protectiveness, it was like watching a great episode.

The quality of this work is just astonishing, thanks so much for sharing it.

(btw. I read some of your Veritas fics as well, bloody brilliant doesn't even come close to describing it. Hope you continue with what you set up in Pandora's Box. This really was a show that wasn't given enough time!)

Two small finicky points first:

1. My uneducated guess is, it would take a lot more than a stray bullet into the control panel to bring an airplane down.

2. I have a hard time believing that Don and Charlie would be so isolated for so long. If an airplane went down with an anti-government murderer, a couple of FBI agents, and a professor with a security clearance on it, my guess is those woods would have more G-men than gnats in it.

Now for the rest:

I don't know what set of standards professionals themselves use, but this reads to me like professional quality work. Detailed, convincing, restrained ("Don swore." That's all we need to know, we don't need to know the exact words.), intelligent. I can see and hear Morrow and Krumholz in almost every line. It's like getting an extra, and particularly exciting, episode of "Numb3rs" in the middle of the week. Thank you.
