Wow. I didn't expect this from the summary. It was quite sad, but very well written. I like how you describe the gods, and how they have their little conversation.

The only thing I can say with any critisism at all is that Elsren's dialogue is so repetitive. I understand that he'd be calling to his mother, but you could have cut out a couple of times. Also, using 'um' in written dialogue always seems awakward (maybe only to me).
