wow, that was nice. I teared up a little, and believe me that's some of the highest praise I can give a piece of writing. My highest is if it can make me bawl- big crocodile tears. Poor Peter, he has so much self doubt. The faith of other people really isn't much help if you really, really, don't believe you can do it. If that's the case, you're saying inside your mind, "No, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! You don't get it, you don't know how much I'm NOT going to be able to do this!", and wishing you could convince people out loud. Peter's such a modest king. You captured that really well in your fic. Also, I noticed some conections- the lines by Robert Frost that you put at the beginning of your story? Aren't those part of Bilbo's Song in The Hobit, too? And 'Tea and Sympathy'- that's a line in a song by Jars of Clay. I guess they took it from that expression. Cool, I never knew that.? (that's a smiley face)

I love your disclaimer. And this is very good as well. I actually didn't notice you'd changed perspectives until a moment later. It's a little understated for my taste; perhaps you want to explain more of what Peter is feeling rather than what Peter is thinking. Again, just my taste.
