I have been reading Labyrinth stories for a while now. And when I came across this story I didn't expect much because 1) it doesn't have a lot of favs and reviews and 2) I've read a lot of rubbish lately with much higher ratings.

But this story is AMAZING! I have no idea why is doesn't have higher rating figures. Maybe what frightens readers is the length of the story but damn! It is so unbelievably good that my heart already aches and misses the story when it ends although I am in the middle of it right now. That is why I am reading it slowly... enjoying every word, every image you awaken in my imagination with your skillful, talented writing.

I really regret that you had to delete a very interesing part of this chapter due to previous restrictions. I didn't sleep much this night (I know, this is crazy, but you managed to keep my attention to such a degree) because I tried to envision what had happend to the couple in the tent. It is not about sex, but what triggered Sarah's "understanding" that Jareth didn't love her and what Jareth had to do to himself that made him, a powerful fey, cry so hard that I almost cried myself reading the last paragraph.

I know it has been a while that you visited this site but if there is a possibility that you read this comment, could you please send me a full version of this story. Or if anyone could help me to find the author or the full version of this story?

I am ecstatic that I found this story again, I read this a few years prior and adored it! The amount of work you put into the characters is amazing and so appreciated. My biggest dilemma with other stories is proper grammar, lack of character growth, and length; I find all that I need in this story. Thank you so much!

*claps and whistles* She finally acknowledges and admits (to herself) that she wants to stay! And! she realizes she has nothing to go back to. This make me smile and whoop. Better late than never.

I believe I am just as confused about Sarah as Jareth is. *sigh* She wants to unlock the part of him that loves her... but she expects it'll be just handy-dandy and okay to unlock that part and then return Aboveground where she knows that he'll die if he follows her there? Heck, she wants him to love her, but she seems, right now, to only be aware that she wants his body... I'm so confused. Does she even know or understand the repercussions of her current plan of action? The Underground would fall apart at the seams if she got him to love her freely again and then just up and left. She already regrets sending the wrong man away. Sarah is ticking me off, obviously. She really has no reason to want to go back Above; nothing's there, not really. Also... did she ever take that blue pill? There hasn't been mention of it since she refused to take it. I, and other readers, can only assume she didn't, and I kind of fear the events that may occur if she didn't. Despite these things, I will continue to trudge through. Considering the number of chapters, I can only hope these seemingly loose ends will be tied up.

As a note: I would suggest not having these loose ends in the first place, or - at the very least - make things more clear and apparent. Did she take the pill, or is still sitting there on the bedside table? Why does she want to return Aboveground? Why is she aware of her feelings and yet completely unaware in the same instant? Those are not details that should be left unattended in my opinion. Most readers would probably call them plotholes.

However, I really do enjoy your writing style and the authenticity of their personalities; you've captured them masterfully. I'm also intrigued by your version of the fae/fey (it's usually used as a blanket term in reality. Technically, all of the Underground are fae/fey. It's similar to animals being the dominant life form on Earth, but those animals are also called human, elephants, whales, felines, etc. Hence, they're all fae/fey, but those fae/fey are also called goblins, dwarves, fairies, pixies, elves, etc.) So I'm extremely curious and want to learn more about your take on them and the world they live in. I also adore how more mature this story feels. I still love the fantastical and whimsical feeling of others as well, but this is a breath of fresh air; it's revitalizing.

Like a number of others, I'm surprised at the lack of reviews this amazingly well-written story has. I can only surmise that readers find the word count daunting for the portrayal of the characters are spot on and believable. The only issue I have thus far is Sarah's (lack of explained) motivation to return Aboveground. She has nothing to really return to (Christian is out of the picture; she hasn't spoken to her parents - and Toby by extension - in over a year; her role that's supposed to reignite her career is a dead end; she hasn't expressed remorse or regret really over the connection she's lost with her family - thus, it can be assumed by the reader she doesn't wish to rekindle communication or rebuild the bridge; and she's only expressed how at home she feels being back Underground, especially with Hoggle's family - she actually felt free and like herself again unlike how she described feeling Aboveground in comparison); however, this won't deter me from finishing this exquisite tale. I can chalk this flaw up to Sarah being in denial and for some reason not expressing it as I expect her to. Instant repression instead of suppression.
