This book was about that Dean wanted a sports car because he is in high school and he wants all of the girls. So he said that girls dig sports cars and that he wanted the 1982 corvette stingray. But Dean realizes that his dad will not buy him the corvette for 18 grand. Even if he had the money he still would not buy it. His brother brought a wrecked up truck. They fixed it up and his brother gave him a ride in it. Then him and his dad traded cars. Dean got the impala, and the dad got the old truck, but it was still running good. At the end of the story, him and his dad were nice to each other, and the dad was always playing around with him. Actually in the middle of the story, the brother helps dean look for cars but he never liked it like the convertible mustang gt, and the firebird.

Love this piece with the boys behaving (and fighting) like real brothers. (I know it has been years and years since you wrote this, but I thought you'd like to know that it's still being read and enjoyed.)

Aw, I am newly obsessed with the Chevy, and I loved this fic. Great idea as to how Dean came to own it. Particularly loved the observation about Sam enjoying fixing the car, because it's a normal thing that he gets to do with Dean. Poor Sam. And very Dean, to go on about sports car, but actually only have circled the ones they can afford. Loved it!

...huh. I really wish I knew the story behind the story for this one. This was fantastically written - all these wonderful surface hints about something much bigger, yet these guys still make a great family. Cool.
