I vaguely remember reading this years ago, probably when you first published it. I came back to revisit it and glad I did. I love this story. Very probable and believable, and I share your thoughts on both of their characters. Mara is written very poorly in some profics, and even more so in fanfics. Of course she had a bitter edge to her sometimes; we all have our past demons to conquer and that's what Mara represents. But the strong get over it (Mara), the weak subdue to it (Anakin Skywalker). Great story!
