The Dark Side of Dimensions movie reinvigorated my interest in the franchise, and I just had to circle back around to your YGO epic. So nice, I had to read it twice. I don't know if you still visit this site much at all, but you should know that this story still holds up exceptionally well.

I love that you wove filler material like the Oricalchos saga into the source material. It was good to see the von Shcroeders, too.

Your handling of Mai's guilt and subsequent character development is fantastic and a logical conclusion of the last time we saw her. Little touches like Mai assuming Yugi tossed the puzzle out of anger at Yami was an inspired touch. I also like Pegasus fully settling into his role of the leader/commander of the heroes as the saga goes on, but you had enough restraint not to make it an instant thing. The mystery of who sabotaged the ship and where Pegasus' true loyalties lie is the heart and soul of the early part of the series. He's a goofy fop most of that time, but you can really flip the switch between light-hearted Pegasus and clever schemer Pegasus. Most of all, I like the notion that Shadow Games have carved some pathways into the world through the people who experienced them; how could you go through something like that and not come out changed?

I can't wait to get back to Seto meeting Kisara in the present day again, the return of Bakura and the Ishtars and everything else this series gets up to in the later installments.

This is still the gold standard to which I hold all other YGO stories.

...If part of Yuugi is now the Pharaoh, does that mean part of Bakura is now the Thief King? Because that would explain a LOT.

I just wanted to say that a few weeks ago I spent literally all night reading every single one of you books (I consider them books, seriously) and I have to say that I consider your stories to seriously be what happens post-canon. Everyone is just soooo in character and the plot is just so amazing. You write Joey and Mai so well. They are a hard couple to write for, but you execute it beautifully. I know that you don't write for Yugioh anymore , but I just wanted to let you know that even if you don't that's okay, I'll reread these stores over and over again because they seriously make me feel as though I'm embarking on some journey every time I start.

Kaiba has exactly one soft spot, in the way that granite is softer than diamond. Pain and defeat to anyone who threatens his little brother, and apparently sincere gratitude to someone that rescued him.

So, how did those dweebs get there?

For crying out loud. The nerves, the constant insisting on dueling when anyone with an ounce of self-preservation instinct would put food, water and shelter first (for themselves if no one else)... Mr. Goradon just screams "henchman." Best as I can tell, he even shares a name with an old Power Rangers Monster of the Week. Could always be a red herring, but at the moment I'm leaning toward this theory.
