Sometimes the long-distance relationship don't work very well but considering that this is the relationship Kim and Ron, maybe it can work but let's see what's going to happen in Chapter 2!

Harvey Dent's words came to my mind again and again while reading this. When it comes down to it, they-for the most part-capture the essence of this tale quite well. Even the best, most pure of us have that bit of darkness inside. When it's brought to the front, when you're forced to confront it, what will you do? Let it consume you? Fight it, overcome it? Or embrace it, acknowledging that it's a part of you?

Kim and Ron had to face all those questions and more in this tale. Personally, I feel as though Bortel wasn't their enemy here, but themselves and the entirety of the human condition, the darkness that resides in their hearts and in others. And you captured this quite well, all the moral quandaries, even when Kim and Ron were deep in Bortel's clutches.

"The death of self" ...man, Will Du's character. He was the true hero of this, even if Kim and Ron "regained" that title with their redemption. Not only that, he was incredibly likable, a first in all the KP fanfics I've read.

This has certainly given me much to ponder. This work is fantastic, and I wish there was a sequel of some sort. But really, what more can be said?

I see that Kim has started to learn that responsibility isn't about finding an easy solution to a hard decision, but finding the decision hard, which is the reason she's the team's leader, not Ron, nor Wade, even if she might not be as capable as they are; Kim thinks before she acts.

Great story everyone I have read stories from most if not all of the people who worked on this and it was all great writing. It also flowed together really well considering it had so many different writers. well great story and keep up the awesome writing

i thoroughly enjoyed this story, it may have had its rough spots and odd twists. but hopefully more community efforts will continue to be written.

i do feel that the "T" rating held back some though.

ah, that makes sense. but the execution on the last chapter had thrown me for a loop.

what the hell? this chapter completely changes the story, from beginning to the end.
