This is so heartbreaking! But, thirteen years later and Sam is a better hunger than his Dad ever was, because he hunts to save people not just for revenge! And Sam and Dean are so much stronger without John holding them back! I think way too much about this show! LOL!

This is so Sam, and it just kills even more knowing that he went through so much and was so brave walking out that door to fight for what he needed and what he believed in, only to lose it all so spectacularly anyway. And knowing everything that came after in spite of all that is such a kick in the guts.
No one has tried harder than Sam. No one. xo

Out of all the fanfics I've read about Sam, I think this is the one that nails who he really is.
You're able to reach into the depths of his complected, layered character and masterfully put it on paper.
I'm really impressed.

Wow. I loved this; I'm also more interested in how hunting was a negative impact for Sam when he was growing up. His argument with John sounds like actual pieces of dialogue, and I love the comparisons between Sam and Dean.

This was really good, but I didn't like how you portrayed Dean, the way he just sat back and ignored Sam through it all-even at the end when Sam left. That's so not Dean. I can't imagine him not sticking up for his little brother.
