I 'm sure Sam did have mightmares like that after he shot Dean while possessed by the ghost.

I think that was the first time we saw how easily Sam could be manipulated by a demon or ghost...or whatever. But, it was also the first time i think the severity of something happening to them really shook the brothers. Well, in my opinion anyway. Great job as always. :P
