I read the whole thing before I realized this was one of yours. Looking back, it's pretty clearly a fusion of your interests. The Pokemon aspect of the story wasn't that important - just a crutch to avoid having to do too much of your own worldbuilding and make it seem like it's not a total rip-off of the source material. (Which it basically is.) It's not as wall-bangingly god-awful as I expected a magical girl story to be. Judging by my experiences with Sailor Nothing and some magical girl anime that I watched when I was really really bored, it's probably because a text-based magical girl story can't rely on sparkly graphics and stock footage like a manga or anime. Decent job.

Pretty spiffy...but short. You really could've turned this idea into quite the novel, you know. Ah, but oh well. It was sorta...sorta like a movie. Each chapter is a half hour long in TV-time, (or an episode, meh), so it'd be just the right length for a movie.
